AGREEMENTS
Agree clearly first. Then repair.
This keeps help between neighbours simple, personal and transparent.
Repair request and first review
You start with the Google Form. Its information helps me assess the problem and possible costs, but it is not yet a final diagnosis or quotation. I contact you as soon as my next time slot is available.
Initial diagnosis and cost estimate
During our first contact, I discuss the problem and provide a preliminary diagnosis and cost estimate where possible. This first contact is free.
Physical diagnosis and parts
If needed, we then make a physical appointment. I inspect the device, find suitable parts and provide the final estimate with direct links so you can order and pay for the parts yourself.
You buy the part
If a part is needed, I check what fits your device and send a suitable option or link. You buy and pay for the part directly from the supplier. The part remains yours.
Only with your approval
A conversation or message is not yet a repair agreement. I start only after you approve the work and my contribution. If I discover something different during the work, we discuss it again.
Service area, home or workbench
My normal service area is Heerenveen and the nearby area, roughly as far as Luinjeberd, De Knipe, Oudeschoot, Rottum and Nijehaske. This also includes Nieuweschoot and Oranjewoud. Within this area, I prefer to visit you at home where practical. Do you live outside this area? I may still be able to help. We agree a higher contribution in advance for extra travel time and transport, or you arrange and pay for all transport yourself, including drop-off and collection. Drop-off at my workbench is by appointment only; it is not a walk-in address and I share it personally.
Data and access
Make a backup beforehand where possible. Don’t share passwords through public contact channels. If access is needed, we agree it personally and keep it as limited as possible.
